About the Event
Winter Solstice Walk Update as of 12/14
The Winter Solstice Walk on the river trail, scheduled for 12/21, will not take place as originally planned. The trail is expected to remain closed for damage assessment and clean up before visitors can return. While this means the event in its current form is cancelled, we are exploring other possibilities to carry forward the spirit of the walk. Updates will be shared next week as we continue to evaluate options throughout the weekend. Watch the Winter Solstice Walk event page and our social media for updates.
—————————————————————-
On the darkest night of the year, walk the Snohomish River Trail and enjoy the candle glow of over 500 luminaries to celebrate the return of longer days.
Enjoy a quiet luminary walk along the River Trail to celebrate the winter solstice. Come early for sunset, later to see the lanterns shine in darkness, or both. The Snohomish Winter Solstice Walk is for all to appreciate nature and the changing seasons.
This is a free event! You can start the walk anywhere along the River Front Trail. Find you preferred starting point here on the map below and then follow the lights!
