Volunteer Shifts
Volunteer shifts are opportunities with a specific date and time. They're a great way to get involved when your schedule allows. Browse our current volunteer shifts below and sign up for any opportunities that fit your schedule.
Long-Term Projects
Long-term projects are flexible opportunities that aren't usually tied to a single event or date. You can contribute your time, skills, or expertise through a volunteer-led committee. If you're interested in getting involved beyond a single volunteer shift, explore our current committees and the projects they'll be focusing on this year.
Recording Your Volunteer Hours
We record volunteer hours to recognize the incredible impact our volunteers make in Historic Downtown Snohomish.
Volunteer Shifts: Your hours are recorded automatically when you check in at your volunteer shift. No additional action is needed.
Long-Term Projects: Please log your hours using the Volunteer Hours Form linked below. Submit your hours at least once a month, or more often if you'd like.
Government & Non-Profit
Builds strong relationships between HDSA and key stakeholders, including government agencies, nonprofits, and private organizations. The committee actively seeks resources, funding opportunities, and strategic partnerships that benefit the downtown district, supporting local businesses and community initiatives.

Business Support
The Business Support Committee helps build a strong, connected, and successful downtown business community. We provide support and resources, create opportunities for connection and collaboration, organize quarterly member meetings, and partner with the HDSA on events and initiatives that bring more people downtown to shop and dine. Our goal is to help local businesses thrive and strengthen the relationships that make our downtown community successful.

Quarterly Member Meetings
Real Estate
Strengthens connections between HDSA and property owners, landlords, and commercial brokers to support the economic vitality of downtown Snohomish. The committee documents property ownership, tracks tenancy changes, and educates stakeholders on HDSA’s vision for downtown development. By fostering collaboration and identifying opportunities for strategic growth, this committee helps shape a thriving and sustainable business district. This committee is led by Heidi Ihde.

Winterfest
The Winterfest Planning committee organizes Winterfest week (second week of December), a community holiday event. Volunteering for the Winterfest planning committee means pitching in to shape one of Snohomish’s most beloved seasonal events. It’s a chance to bring creative ideas to life, strengthen community connections, and help deliver a winter celebration that feels distinctly Snohomish.

Fostering Community
The Fostering Community Committee brings people together and helps Historic Downtown Snohomish feel like home. Through welcoming public spaces, community gatherings, and activities for all ages, we create opportunities for neighbors to meet, build friendships, and get involved.
