Volunteer at the Snohomish Wine Walk

The Snohomish Wine Walk is HDSA's biggest fundraising event of the year! With your help, we can create an awesome visitor experience and raise money for downtown projects.

Time & Location

Jun 06, 2026, 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Velvet & Oak Wine and Events, 908 1st St, Suite B Snohomish, WA 98290

About the Event

The Snohomish Wine Walk is entering its 15th year, and volunteers are essential to delivering the smooth, welcoming experience that keeps visitors returning season after season. By signing up, you’re directly supporting our downtown businesses, helping guests feel taken care of, and ensuring the event runs safely and efficiently from start to finish.

As a thank you, all volunteers will receive a complimentary bottle of wine! Volunteers for this event must be 21+.

We have TWO shifts available for this event. When you sign-up, you can choose to volunteer for one shift or stay for the entire evening. First Shift: 2:00pm-4:30pm Second Shift: 4:30pm-7:00pm

Here’s where we need support:

  • Technical Support (3 volunteers) — Check-in wineries and help them connect their phone to our POS tap & chip readers. Show them how to navigate the WIX app for bottle sales. Be on call for POS issues and respond to support requests. A 30 minute training call will be provided for you in advance of the event.

  • Setup, Check‑In, and Clean‑Up (6–12 volunteers)

    • Setup:

      • Prepare check‑in tables (computers, tap readers, glasses, totes, maps, tasting tickets)

      • Tear off ID wristbands

      • Set up check‑in signage

    • Check‑In:

      • Check IDs at the door (MAST certification required) and apply wristbands

      • Check in guests on the computer, sell day‑of tickets, hand out maps and tasting tickets, explain how the event works

      • Crowd monitor to help move guests toward the rear exit into Velvet & Oak

      • Sell additional tasting tickets throughout the evening

    • Clean‑Up:

      • Pack up tables, decorations, signage, and materials — Coordinate with Velvet & Oak on final clean‑up responsibilities

  • VIP Concierge (1 volunteer)

    • Welcome VIPs and ensure they receive their wine and charcuterie

    • Answer questions and serve as the liaison between Velvet & Oak staff, guests, and HDSA

    • Manage the transition when general admission begins and ensure VIP items are put away
