After check-in and tally-ho at the Machias Trailhead Park, we tootle along the historic Centennial Trail. Jolly socializing and pastoral scenes offer a care-free diversion. Replenish and restore in Snohomish with a spot o' tea, a bit o'rest, and your own picnic luncheon (BYOC - Bring Your Own Cup!)
This year, our break for light refreshments and your picnic lunch will be at the Blackman's Museum in the lovely, historic downtown of Snohomish, where the Snohomish Historical Society is allowing us to use their facilities to go back in time for our tea and biscuits. After our refreshments, a small "treasure hunt" in the downtown area will reap the rewards of a bag of swag worth the search!
Gather for the ride back to Machias at 2:30pm, the tally-ho for the ride back begins at 2:45pm
Photo Ops~Music~Costume Contest~ (medals for the most dapper and dandily dressed Ladies & Gents on bicycles!) We much appreciate Victorian, Edwardian, War Era and even Steampunk stylings. (Please no lycra, jeans or modern-day garb!)
