Sport your finest period garb and join us for a bicycle jaunt through the countryside. Pause for a picnic (bring your own) and enjoy diversions, tea and sweets (our treat!)
A Socially Distanced Event
Rain or Shine!
RAIN OR SHINE!
The ride sets off from the historic Machias Depot at the Machias Centennial Trailhead, and riders tootle along the historic Centennial Trail with their companions.
Checking in between 10 and 11 at Machias Trailhead Park, riders can continue on into town with their own group. Each Tweed Rider will receive a swag bag with a voucher, map and the beginnings of the cool swag that is part of this event.
Replenish and restore in Snohomish with a spot o' tea (our treat!), and maybe your own picnic luncheon. Tea will be provided in a socially distanced "tea time" with vouchers to your choice of locations: Proper Joe's, Snohomish 1st and Union Bakery, Piccadilly Circus or Looking Glass Coffee. They can be redeemed for a hot drink and a pastry.
While in Snohomish, the map in your swag bag will lead you to the locations of the sponsors who will provide the remainder of your swag.
There will be no gathering for the ride back to Machias,
There will be a photo op setup for individual photos. We much appreciate Victorian, Edwardian, War Era and even Steampunk stylings. (No lycra, jeans or modern garb please!)
