Because it's chocolate! We've moved the event to April 20th following the Easter Parade and made the process a little easier. This year, the first 20 merchants to register will simply pay $80 and HDSA will supply the chocolate. See more details below.

About the Event
Hello fellow merchants!
Welcome to our 7th annual Chocolate Walk on Saturday, April 20th! We have a great team of volunteers on board to produce another successful event. There are a couple of significant changes this year to keep in mind:
The event has been moved to Easter Saturday, April 20. Soliciting quality chocolates has become a challenge, so more time was needed. We’re aware that the Easter Parade is the same day, but the Chocolate Walk sign-in will begin at 12:30 with the actual event officially starting post-parade at 1:00 pm. So the two events should not pose a conflict. The Chocolate Walk should wind up at 6:00 pm.
Rather than asking each participating merchant to source their own chocolates this year, we’ll do that for you. That should ensure quality, avoid the potential confusion of multiple merchants contacting the same chocolatiers, and allow us to solicit chocolatiers as event “sponsors” as well. But if you have a good existing relationship with a chocolatier or confectioner, please let us know. As with wine walks, chocolatiers will also be encouraged to table at participating merchant locations as space and merchant preferences allow.
Up to four chocolatiers or confectioners will have their logo and company name featured as presenting sponsors on event fliers/posters, event maps, social media postings, web page on the Historic Downtown Snohomish Association site, and other social media as available. Each of these Presenting Sponsors will also be featured with a short blog highlighting their company and candy-making “story” in HDSA social media. To be a Presenting Sponsor, the company must provide product on a free, in-kind basis.
Goodie bags for collecting chocolates will also be ordered and delivered ahead of time.
We want to make this a simple event for you to participate in. We will arrange for chocolate delivery in plenty of time prior to the event. Or if the chocolatier is tabling, we may ask them to bring their product with them.
Based on the success on the previous chocolate walks we are confident that this will sell out the 250 tickets that will be available to customers. You can’t get this kind of advertising for $80, and all you will need to do is prepare make sure that the chocolates or candies provided to you are ready for distribution to your customers. It is suggested that you include a coupon, class calendar, business card or service flyer with your chocolates, to help bring them back to your store at a later date.
There are 20 spots available for merchants all throughout the HDS district to participate. You won’t want to miss out on this event. We do all the work and deliver 250 customers to your door. If you are a business that has an in-house product that could be offered as samples to the walkers and would like to be an additional participating stop in the event, please contact us directly so we can add you to the map free of charge.
Payment and registration should be done online and be completed by March 14, 2019. If for some reason that is not possible please print and complete the registration and deliver with payment check to Judi Ramsey at Artisans Mercantile, 117 Glen Ave, Snohomish to guarantee participation.
