About Us

HDS and the National Main Street Program

HDS is helping revitalize Downtown Snohomish using the National Main Street Four-Point Approach as a framework. This program has been used successfully in communities all over the US. In 2012, HDS has focused on key areas of improvement:

  • Design: Beautification, consistency with City of Snohomish design standards

  • Organization: Community partnerships, resource development, member communications

  • Promotion: Marketing and advertising, special events, website

  • Economic Restructuring: Cross-promotions, business development projects

Support downtown revitalization:

Historic Downtown Snohomish (HDS) is a volunteer driven and volunteer-based 501c3 nonprofit organization. Our mission is to promote, preserve, and improve the downtown historic district as the heart and soul of the City of Snohomish.

Do you pay B&O Tax? Through the Main Street Tax Credit Program, you can direct your tax dollars into your own community rather sending them to Olympia. By doing so, you will support the ongoing revitalization efforts of Downtown Snohomish.

It costs only $25 out-of-pocket to donate $500 to downtown revitalization.  CLICK HERE for donations to HDS.

More info about the Washington State Main Street Tax Incentive.

Or, you can become an HDS Member!  Individuals and businesses located outside the Historic District can now join us!
